The Quarantine

Updated: Sep 25, 2020

The COVID decade it was called by many 2020 was not the year of joy and merry

Quarantine, a word unfamiliar to some Stay at home to fight the virus government declared Rejoiced were all who had hours of commute For they could now enjoy the videos calls on mute The internet was flooded with skills to learn Courses were offered for a price so low Everyone enjoyed the 'productive' days While some caught up on their sleep due As days passed by there was a tense feeling in the minds How long would we be stuck in an apartment without our choice We aren't meant to be caged We have read the our rights on  a democratic stage The vaccine was here and the virus gone Everyone moved out the next weekend out of town "What's the name of that bird mama?" A child enquired "It's the ostrich. The fastest runner among them all." The mother exclaimed "Looks like they weren't able to find them a vaccine yet" suggested the daughter.
